we set up our 55 gallon aquarium yesterday. seems like everything i do lately needs a little push from outside to be started/inspired. i found a new lighting unit on craigslist to replace the one given to us with the tank (had a rusty power supply - *shriek*) so tt and i now have 3 tanks set up and running. as soon as we get some timers i'll add the plants and goldfish to the big tank to help it cycle.

something about setting up the tanks and planting things in the backyard - something alive and fantastic about it. surrounding myself with life makes for less grey days - it is the little things after all - and three cats in a rental is my limit.

tt is making friends with dogs at work, as people can bring in their pups. i'd like a dog, oh yes, but not until we own a house (if ever.) i'll be content with purrs til then, purrs and bright scales and vines spreading toward the constant sun.
