the man of the house | 27 June 2002 | 4:13 pm

it is at times like these which i hate my name most.

i have never had a name pencil or sticker, not one. i suppose someone could have been real creative-like and have given me two...but what about the hyphen?

standardized tests have no hyphen bubble to fill, i get mail addressed to Mr. *** all of the time (not to mention the phone calls asking for my dad, father, or the man of the house) and it is rarely pronounced correctly, especially when read.

*shrug*

my sisters both have beautiful names and such, but most likely they do not like theirs either...

heh

but at least they are not some hybrid godparent orgiastic delight like mine.

no matt-er. none at all.

if it was something else -- something simple, familiar, and more common -- i would not be who i am, and would not have grown up the way i did.

and i like me

i am contradicting myself.

*shrug*

our world is now completely and utterly full of kitties and fish (well, there is always room for more fishhehespecially if they keep dying off.) three cats is the maximum and perfect number for our apartment and our lifestyle.

in a week or two, perhaps they will get along. havanaslab is being, well, havana...but actually curious and attempting in his own twisted and quite noist way to be friendly.
freyjachunk has surprised me with her temper, but then again she is only six months old and still so very young in her thoughts. perhaps she feels ousted as the baby, perhaps it is something else. tomorrow she will be spayed, poor little darling.

perhaps eimerlecule will be able to weasel her way into her drug induced floaty state...

i am not holding my breath.

today has been all about sharing the love, rain and iced coffee. i cleaned the kitchen, including the microwave and toaster, and am currently moving all of the pillows and blankets back into their proper places (keeping a foot raised really tears up an apartment.)

must clean more*poof*
