picket-nicking | 26 August 2002 | 9:43 am

today is potato salad for breakfast and a new choker...it is the sick and hospitalized returning to work and the beginning of new projects. today is washing utte after work and hours and hour until that prospect.

a dream last night:

i am at a gas station with TT. i watch him parallel park utte, banging into the car in front and the car behind...scratching and bashing utte but barely marking the other cars at all. it is strange and disconcerting, to be sure.

afterward, TT and i go into the station office where there is much heavy petting and such done by the attendants to us. i feel one fo the attendants pressing and halving me from behind through our clothes.

hrm.

something to do with my parent's picnic yesterday? note: not the petting, but the parallel parking. it seems that someone was trying to move a SUV out on the front street (we were picnicking in the back) they ended up flooring the gas instead of the break -- and totaled their SUV on a tree directly across the street from the rent's house.

we all heard a loud thump. (i thought someone fell off of a roof...) it would be our luck that someone would total our car while she innocently sat there...but no. *breathes a sigh of relief* this accident was about four car lengths away, though...much too close.

*rolls eyes*

one of my father's jokes:

he points to a crowd of picket-ers breaking for lunch -- look, they are picket-nicking!

i love my father...oh yes. someday i may too be whitty...someday.

we have new additions to our tank: sither was here to pick them out with us -- fun fun! this weekend there were fiddler crabs and ghost shrimp (one juggling a wonderful catch of writhing green eggs to her belly!)....some lovely guppy grrlfriends for our two little boyz ...and two octos (cleaner fish, unfortunately not octopussys).

...it seems our female fiddler has gone for a long walk off a short pier (or rather, and most likely, a short walk over the side of the tank and into the waiting maw of our predator kitties.) *shrug* this is wildamerika, this is just the way.

the tank is oh so exciting now! and hundreds of fry and shrimp in the future. wooty!

(speaking of which, yay for the visit of teclo and her ever-roboto beloved!!)

*bounce!*
