there is something about using IMs and gmail at work that reminds me of being in a classroom and passing notes to friends...course i never had friends to pass notes to then, but i imagine it would feel this sneaky...

seriously, i do not know how i would get through the day without knowing people are right there - and as i work and toil, i am not so alone. i am distracted often, but not by friends, no. life distracts me, and work emergencies and conflicts and...and...
