this weekend we bought our xmas tree - bright! why so late? it was 50% off, you know, and re-usable for years to come. much better than buying one a few weeks before at twice the price - and this one came with the lights (it was a display and we had them just keep them on.) convenient!

we now also have a leaf-cutter ant, sparkly peanut and chili, jointed asain dragonfly, and some crystal icicles hanging on the branches - along with a few ornaments from halloween. fun!

it did not feel quite like a holiday until the tree. it rains here, but there is no snow (which is fine, yes.) something else to get used to.

i wonder if people here are less effected by SeasonalDepressiveDisorder?

not even noon and i am sick sicky of work already.
