curly it will stay | 06 August 2002 | 10:12 pm

second day at work and i am even more happy than the first

i am going to make changes happen (in fact, i already have). part of my job is to question and pick at absolutely everything i come across in order to improve upon it to make them think twice about their way of thought. they have brought in an organization "specialist" whose "expertise" will be called heavily upon.

this is crazy.

and fun!

and i am appreciated!

whee!

side note: why is it that people get so caught up in themselves that they have absolutely no clue that they are hurting their friends and such deeply with their levels of disconcert for all they hold important? for example (a made up example, sillies), i have spirally curly red hair (that part is true) curly hair being something that i was born with and unless i were to absolutely obsess over straightening it, curly it will stay.

now imagine a "friend" of yours making fun of someone who has curly hair, like horrible teasing stuff then they come back and talk to you as if you were some sort of exception when you know they must harbor some secret disgust at the thought that you have curly hair.

i realize this simile may not make as much sense, but imagine it with other things in its place perhaps your skin color, or the music you listen to, or your beliefs about childbirth and such.
imagine something that is already an issue with you, for example, your height, your insecurities or shoe size, your frecklesand have someone supposedly your "friend" jibe and express disgust for others (my god, how awful to have feet that hugeewww!!) then turn back to you with "friendship" (i like your shoes).

    sick, i tell you.

intolerance is weakness, and closed-mindedness is unacceptable especially when one expects everyone else to take them or leave it.

making fun or teasing others is something one uses to cover up the fact that they, themselves, are absolutely insecure about their appearance, beliefs, etc. ??

i am still happy about my jobi think i'll spend a little kitty snuggle time and try to not ruminate on shallowness and such (even though it seems to be a humanistic trend).

i'll get off my snobby and self-righteous horse right now and go flay myself a bit for being so horridno worries.
