taxidermy animals (birds and beasts alike) | 14 March 2002 | 12:20 pm

last night was the washing of the laundry, soaking of the wine bottle labels, scrubbing of the stove, balancing of the checkbook, opening of the amazon package,

(yay for rechargeable batteries and 128memorybut where oh where is the digital camera??)
the watching of dontletmedieonasunday
(full of lovely S&M and vinyl, bubbies and sex, corpses and scalpels, but craptastic acting),
and the snuggling with all of the hundreds and thousands of kittieswell 3, but thats enough!

for now
*smirk*

i have an experiment in mindthat of taking one kitten pic a day, from the same spot with her in the same position (difficult to do?) that way i can look back and watch her growbut more importantly we can watch the progress of that eye, the swelling going up or down, the color changing. her eye is an interesting shade of milk right now, skim milk, bluish hue. it has tiny red blood vessels mapping across it, swirled like a marble.

i think i am less worried about the eye and more enchanted
i am starting to think it quite pretty

i do so *heart* these assimilation cds fuckgrrl burned for meoh my! work is just *bip*bopping* along today.

and tonight?
tonight is dancerinthedark night with idlechic and theredbaron!!

*bounce*

in my dream last night:

i am with TT in some sort of mall, walking down a long, deserted, wide hallway. most of the stores on either side are boarded up or closed. at the end of the hallway, nestled in a bend in the corridor, is a square stand, the corner making a walkway behind it lined with treasures.

we approach the stand and are greeted by a lovely older woman, happy to see us and help us, just beaming with joy. we smile back at her and walk into the "store."

in the treasure nook behind the stand are taxidermy animals (birds and beasts alike), strangely-shaped knives (one catches my eyes, with a straight scabbard, the handle made of thin, swirling silver metal that cork-screws down around the scabbard), and various other things such as fishing rods, peacock feathers, antique hats, lacquered boxes, decorated stools and tables, jewelryso interesting to look through!

i find a black slightly-fuzzy hat with netting and feathers, and secure it to my hair with its attached comb. the part on my head is a little cap, as if a yam-mi-ka (sp?), the top part of the hat like a large black saucer, its wide brim comes down over my left eye. it is quite the hat, and i feel elegant, and silly, wearing it around.

i walk over to TT, who is sitting up on top of a 6 foot tall glass case. crouching next to him is a large cat, a cross between a yellow and black leopard and housecat, about a yard from heat to foot, tail another two feet.

TT smiles at the cat and watches it with a curious expression. i want to touch it, but am too afraid to extend my hands close to it for the cat is not purring and content, it is tense and ready to pounce. i think he is considering purchasing the cat.

*smile*

and that is why it is interesting to keep my dream journal mixed in with my daily journal...one can see where parts of the dream come from.
