yesterday's entry was going to be about weird outside pressures, but i never got there.

question:

Why has everyone (bmwboi's wife, my family at various weddings, lex, my sisters) and their mother (TT's mum asked if we were "serious" the other day) asked us about the status of our relationship?

the "status" -- the commitment -- the plan for the future -- the outcome. sheesh, it is not as if i have not thought about it myself, others seem like they need to think about it as well. jeez.

*curls up tighter and tighter inside herself until she disappears*

no wonder why i have been asking him about intentions lately. pleh. he states that i have veto rights on the next car...that is pretty serious. *grin*

i am happy happy with him and have no fear of rejection -- no fear of ending up the whore. contentment, yes.

...so freakin stop the outside pressure already...

*smiles*

i was talking to a coworker the other day about relationships, and when you know it is right. my statement is that you just know...there is not a single doubt in your mind that you belong with this person...you have no big conflicts or rooted disagreements, no major personality changes need to be made by either party (note the emphasis on either...) -- it is just correct, a sense of correctness and you just know.

another conclusion: this is absolutely impossible to explain to someone who has not met their other yet.

a song, stuck in me head:

the time has come
to say fair's fair
to pay the rent
to pay our share

the time has come
a fact's a fact
it belongs to them
we're gonna give it back
