another week another week. why does this whole holiday (PC, you see) shopping hell have to get in my way? i would like to be able to navigate the world without dawdling shoppers in my way - go herd elsewhere.
tt and i have already opened our present - and are done for the year. yay for our old tv breaking and having to buy a new one. yay. peh. there goes the holiday and vacation $$, but *shrug* at least we can get in QED HD now. note: i realize we do not need the tv, you see - but who could pass up an employee %50 off sale at the company that just bought mine (three days after our old tv broke) - was it fate? was fate laughing then as it is laughing now?
still no luck on the apartment/house hunting front. i believe i was much too excited about the possibility of building out a warehouse space when none seem to be available. its darn cold anyhoo (temperature reference left out for those experiencing real weather, of course.)
today i need to go thrift store shopping for big old sweaters. i've decided to make stockings for my four coworkers so we can have them at work - buying them takes too much $$ (was going to buy over-the-knee stripy socks) and i hate the red and white fuzzy stocking abominations sold at walgreens, etc. humbug i say. so i'll buy big old sweaters and sew/cut long foot/leg shapes into/from them. heh. *shrug*
the austin trip was mosty excellent and a little disappointing, but i had fun nonetheless. drove down to san antonio one day - and went out on a "steer" hunt to no avail. bought a real cowboy hat, i did, oh yes. wore it to the holiday party last friday with some holly in the band - oh what a hit i was. not. more like geek/dork - but i had fun in any case, galavanting around the fishermans wharf with some of the coworkers which are on the "bounce" list as opposed to the "shit" or "have to be nice give 'em a fake smile and nod" lists. pleh.
