we are home now, yes - more fun today, oh boy.
lets try this list style, else emotions will get a bit in the way.

on sunday we flew into vegas and checked in to our hotel.

on monday morning upon waking we took a taxi and admitted tt to the emergency room - some morphine, a cat scan and lots of nausea, etc. later and a kidney stone diagnosis was born.
monday late afternoon we hopped in an ambulance and transfered to hospital #2 to the er to see a urologist - apparently all of the clammy skin, paleness, sweating and more nausea/vomiting was a bit alarming - spoke to urologist and antibiotics iv ensued to stave infection.

tt is in and out of conscious, but at least not moaning anymore. i finally cry.
emergency room standard practice includes x-ray of the lungs and ekg (heart electrical impulse scan) - er doctor pops in and tt's heart scan is extremely abnormal - more machines, more wires.
monday late evening and tt is still in an out of consciousness on morphine, still clammy and shaking. i try to explain to him what the doctors are saying but he is totally incoherent. i sit and watch my tt's every move, his heart beating on the machine, hoping the heart abnormality is not as shocking as they lead me to believe, holding his iv hand clear of his tossing, trying not to think about death but not succeeding. i do not think i have ever felt so alone, nor so close to my love.

tuesday 1am we are finally admitted up to a room and we wait for the urologist and cardiologist to show. tt still sleeps, a bit more sound now. we wait, nurses change guards, we wait more. the morning passes and in to the afternoon and my love awakes.
finally around 4pm the urologist stops by gives tt some prescriptions and a pat on the ass and is on his way. we check that off the list and wait for the cardiologist which is at this point our biggest worry as we have had little information and a lot of worry.
tuesday evening they do a doppler echo cardiogram - so amazing! tt and i hold hands and look at detailed pictures of his heart valves moving, listen to his blood flow, watch the direction change in his chambers. we are given a detailed walk-thru of a heart, but no details. again we wait. 8pm and the cardiologist stops by to let us know that yes tt's ekg was odd indeed, no he has not had a chance to look at the doppler, but yes we need to see a cardiologist asap after our "vacation." another pat and prescription and we are gone. midnight we get back to the hotel.

wednesday tt is feeling fine (?!?) but i am throwing up and am marooned in the hotel room with the worst migraine i have ever had. we walk around vegas for a few hours in the afternoon, then back to the room.

thursday, yay thanksgiving, we fly back to sf. soup and kitties for dinner - so happy to be feeling relatively healthy.

friday (today) tt is vomiting and doubled over again. we call his urologist and wait to see if we need to off to the er once more.

i am sure all will be well - just been a hard week. hopefully the weekend will be better? time to check on tt again...
