tiny legs and even smaller feet! | 07 April 2004 | 1:37 pm

strange to wait in line to get in to the concert in the chill wind when one has purchased tickets to will call. i dislike lines, oh yesso close to others one cannot have a conversation without being overheard by people on either side. tt and i kept silent for almost an hour, snuggling into each other for warmth and watching/listening to the mini-movies being played out around us - little gothy actors with their drama.

heh.

super concert, yes, and we met a few people who offered to introduce us in to their community. nice. why does electronic music always have to sound the same? i realize most of the beats and sounds are programmed in and they just hit play/run/go - but still. at least they added a live drummer, keyboard and guitarist. that was a good variation.

it was good snuggly music, the tt behind me with his arms wrapped around. unfortunately neither of us is good with crowds and/or people breathing on or touching us...so we squirmed out for air 1/2 way through and waded on the sidelines...not a bad thing, however, there was not much to see anyhoo.

*shrug*

i don't see you guys rating the kind of mate i'm contemplating
i'd let you watch...i would invite you
but the queens we use would not excite you...

so you better go back to your bars
your temples
your massage parlors --

one night in bangkok and the world's your oyster
the bars are temples but the pearls ain't free
you'll find a god in every golden cloister
a little flesh...a little history

i can feel an angel sliding up to me

speaking of slide/slipping - i found a salamander in the garden the other day! i am in the process of de-weeding the whole darn backyard/soon be my garden...and i fear there have been little creatures living there for quite a long time. i hate to disturb them, but booty needs some edible flowers and basil, among other things.

frozen as if a stick, i thought at first it was a snake...just as long as the tip of my index to wrist and thinner than my pinky...solid black with tiny scales. it had dirt on its eyes but still did not blink (good thing they have a few sets of eyelids).
but oh! tiny legs and even smaller feet! i swooned with love for the little one on my glove, but knew it was to be free - i walked it over to the palm trees in the corner, a place i would not be digging for a while, and cute cute went its wiggle, as it leapt off of my hands.

*so glad i did not kill it by accident*
*crosses fingers*

and the basement saga continues...kitties vs. the car...and i'll tell you, the kitties, and their claws/paws are winning. our options are to lock them out of the garage/basement which they *heart*, some sort of electro-sonic device that squeals at them if they get close, or to see if they have an aversion to cayenne pepper (cheaper and slightly less ouchie to kitties?) we have, at the moment, a ring of cayenne pepper powder about a foot thick outlining where we park the car - to jump up they would have to crouch in it - leading to pepper paws and ultimately pepper tongue.

we'll see if they get it.
