lean against the wind and step | 16 January 2005 | 9:41 am

last night was movie night with Hero - what a visual experience. i was left with a few questions after the movie, but overall absolutely loved it. (!!) we've recently watched kill bill 1 and 2 as well (put off for months and months due to my love's fear/hate of movie gore - no worries, it is really not a bad as its rep.) i am digging the marital arts movies lately. 2004 was all about sci-fi, this year is martial and perhaps indian movies ...must start looking into indian movies, yes, baliwood here we come.

so, movie night last night was tremendous fun. forgegoddess and myformidableopponent with cheese and wine and the most delicious little shortbread cookies (shaped like tiny pieces of pizza?) ever. i invited some work people too but they were all noncommittal and did not bother to call or show. f0o i am trying with them i swear - i fear this town's cliques are hard to crack. *shrug* screw it, i had a great time with old friends. work people make me nervous anyhoo.

this morning i am up early and poking my sleeping mr. whilst i type. i woke him up for a bit in order to finally order his engagement ring (titanium mokume with copper and silver - sweet) after which he promptly fell back asleep. if i tuck my toe-sies under his knees just so i can steal some warmth without waking him. the cats are hungry and stirring around the bed, methinks i shall wake the prince soon so we may start our day.

today is the beginning of Kangeiko week at the dojo (Japanese traditional intensified training during the coldest week of the year) and my knees are already stiff/sore just thinking about it. tt and i will try to whether out the week, and as class is fun, it may be possible (even though it is likely by wed it will involve smiling through teeth, gritted.) *shrug* it feels good to be achey and stubborn, good to lean against the wind and step and step, good to do a bit of forcing in the change department, yes.
