a few ghosts in the wings... | 12 February 2006 | 2:09 pm

so - it has been a while since my last update. i wish i felt secure in read/updating from work as i used to, but that is just not the case since our company was purchased and the email/internet system changed, etc. seems like we are locked down more every day, and while it is not quite a concentration camp (yet), i am feeling a bit less free than before.

i have read a lot in journals lately about the superbowl - and the hell therein. i must say that watching it out of town was a bit of a pleasure. we still do not have our new TV back from repair (i will not even get started on that one) so we bussed down to one of the local irish bars. there is something wonderful about irish coffees (x5?) and football - makes it all much more interesting. add a non-crowded bar on top of that, a huge booth table you can stretch out in, and rummy during the 1/2 time crap talk and you have supperhappyfun - bonus with the win. i never win the office pool things, never.

*shrug*

we were invited to a loft party recently - very cool place and yes i am jealous that i do not have the $3,300 per mo. rent to have a place like that (wha?) the invite itself was the special thing actually - by two new friends. local friends, not shipped in from home, and not the fake acquaintance types i met when we first moved here. friends. perhaps i will call them indrani and ratipasha, yes that seems appropriate. they are interesting and open people, and there is a bit of a cat and mouse game going on, but at this point it is harmeless fun. she, indrani, kisses me, then apologizes later for being so forward. i can say i am enjoying the attention, and the shuffling of feet and shyness about them. i will sit back on this one, oh yes, and observe, as we are usually those being forward - good to have a break! last night was ratipasha's birthday party at some club - there was poetry and slam early in the evening which progressed to dancing. seems the popular dance music of the semi-frat scene is a combination of latin/funk/hip hop - something which surprised me a bit - what is it called anyhoo? kids today, so crazy. *smile* the evening ended with a bit of pussyfooting and the resolution of splitting up to respective houses/beds. we shall see how this progresses, tt and i are excited and having fun talks/fantasies. mostly i am so happy/flattered to be one of the few invited out, and to have met fun people (and prospective lovers.)

quickies:

still no luck on the moving front - although there are a few ghosts in the wings...

tt still looking at therapists in the area - search begins anew in earnest this week - we shall look for a psychologist this time as the psychiatrists in the area are all either not taking new patients or specializing in geriatrics. ugh. my love, my darling - we will find you some peace, i promise.

bought a fish tank off of craigslist last wednesday and it is all set up. rash if we are moving soon, i know, but i was tired of the 55gal staring at me in the basement. this tank is 20gal and came with some guppies, danios, a fascinating shrimp and live plants. i am hoping it will calm and distract tt from his depression/stress a bit - hard to be freaking out when getting lost in the calm, no?

thinking about my outfit for the plane on my flight to MI early next month. outfits are important, especially when peeled off piece by piece. tt is helping me pick it out, as well as other supplies/tools, but he is not going with. this will be my first actual adultery - and i tell you, life just gets more interesting the deeper you delve into it.

and lastly, the cats will have their nails trimmed today, yes, they know not when or how - but oh yes, the time will come. back nails too - i am sick of tiny punctures in me belly.

blah blah blah - i need to write more often and more interesting. effort soon!
