you just screw it | 2001-07-30 | 8:45 a.m.

last night there were dreams...but i can only remember one in any sort of detail.

i am at a steet fair with my TT, the fair consisting of a whole bunch of antique and specialized stores having hu-mon-goid sales. we browse through stores together, discussing this and that, and finally come upon a colonial house which is for sale. this house is a 12/13 foot cube. inside there are 3 rooms, a front room which takes up 2/3 of the "house" the rest divided into two. the front room has a table and chairs (all colonial antique) a fireplace and not much else, perhaps a small rug. one of the other rooms is a bedroom which fits an old feather mattress and a dresser (nothing else, not even floor space to walk on...you crawl into the room). the other room is a megare kitchen with a stove and wooden icebox,...and a spoon or two. nothing fancy, and mostly just old and decrepid. we buy this house for $12. !! i never stop to wonder how we will get it home.

at this point in the dream we split up,...TT is off to Ritters to get some food and i will meet him there later. i walk around the fair, taking in the interesting warez and such. i walk into a jewlry store and find a beautiful bowl/pipe. it is intricately carved and painted with porcelin...the carrying case embroidered. i ask them to hold it for me until i go get my wallet from the car and find a bank machine ($11).

i go to Ritters, and it has been hours. i sit down in the waiting area and listen to a conversation an older couple is having. they notice me, and i appologize, ...for i accidentally sat down in their booth to wait for the hostess. i told them their conversation was interesting and that i could not help myself.

the hostess comes and takes me to TT. he is happily eating liver and onions, and i tell him about my adventures and the pipe. we are happy. the end.

*shrug*

this weekend we crossed more off of our todo list...although we realize that there will always be things todo and lists to cross off. it is just the way. perhaps, eventually, there will be less that we need to do for the apartment, and more that we want to do for ourselves/fun.

one of my favorite things we found at home-despot (shazbot.) last night (woo woo 24-hrs!) is a motion detector light for the front porch...you just screw it into a normal socket and vaaallah! instant sanity...and better sleep for the grrlie! TT is working from home this week, so better sleeping, at least on my part, is assured. now we need to get him into comfey-im-in- bed-with-a- grrlie-and-sleeping- all-snug-and-content mode.

*hopes*

and home made pizza rules,...just so you know. mmm...

*yawn*
